#1 pick every year, trades it away essentially every year.

Poor Twins fans.

As a follow up, the Twins have traded their 1st round pick every year from 2010-2014.

2010-#3-SP Cortez, FLA
2011-#4-DH Ortega, OAK
2012-#1-SP Bile, FLA
2013-#1-SP Doyle, NYY
2014-#1-SP Hooker, KC

Would have a nice rotation huh?

I have a self-imposed trade embargo with them. :)

What's worse is none of those players was close to equal value.

I actually looked it yesterday, not counting this latest trade because I don't know what Landaro, etc. are going to do, but of the rest of the players he received, this is what he got:

Betances: two seasons, just released by the team, signed with Atlanta. 11-9, 5.09, 2-5, 5.79

Adam Miller: two seasons, now in Houston, 6-15, 7.05, 5-9, 4.85

Lastings Milledge (back from Houston for Miller), Carlos Gonzalez, Al Taylor, Jared Wood, Macon Payne, Victor Moran: 3,002 MLB atbats, 833 hits, 64 HR, 366 RBI total.

Of those guys, Milledge, Gonzalez and Taylor are the only ones currently in the majors still.

Ray, Barton and Jerry Henderson do not appear to exist.

Good haul for two first picks and a third overall.

They've done wonders for the Twins' winning percentage. ;)

I'd rather have the rotation I think.

I know this has nothing to do with previous MIN GMs general ineptitude, but I just don't get Adam Miller AT ALL. He's straight 7s subs which should be good enough for a mid 3s era most seasons with any kind of defense behind him at all...well, except for SS and LF he's got a KILLER defense behind him (ok, so the 3B platoon is a little weak without Antonelli in there, but it's still not bad...) and decent run support and his ERA and record and most every other pitching metric besides Ks still sucks balls. He's getting better each sim now but I don't get it. The guy should be good. Not Cy Young material, but good. I've tweaked his rake settings trying to find out if perhaps I was leaving him in too long but no, nothing is working. It's not THAT small a ballpark. Just don't get it.
